EXHIBITION VIEW ≫
Humans have often expressed the fundamental feelings of sadness, happiness, and despair through the physical action of art making.
In the tens of thousands year history of the fine arts, human creativity has produced a variety of things which cannot be expressed linguistically.
It's as if an unknown creature rises from the depths of the human being who cannot explain things through language.
The creature is usually repressed by society, but when the social system becomes weak, primitive things will appear.
For Kakinuma's third solo exhibition at Yoshimi Arts, he has objectively explored his own painting history and world art history, and has interpolated them through this primal connection with nature. In the strokes of Kakinuma's works, a poetic sentiment is obtained, expressing a meaning unfamiliar to the logic of Western art.
